A message from
As the new Mercy Housing Mountain Plains president, I am moved and awed by the support of so many this past year.
The effects of the Covid 19 pandemic continued into 2021 making it again one of the most challenging years for Mercy Housing Mountain Plains. Related health, employment, and socialization issues took a toll in our communities, but thanks to you and our committed staff, we were able to adapt, move forward, and overcome barriers so residents could remain healthy, stable, and housed.
Amid the pandemic and a historic housing crisis, our supporters stepped up in every way imaginable. It was and still is truly inspirational! From hosting vaccination and booster clinics to providing fresh and nutritious food to distributing rent relief across the region, our partners, staff, and residents made it possible to carry out our mission and stay rooted in our core values of respect, justice, and mercy.
Thanks to you our future is bright. We are committed to expanding our footprint in the Mountain Plains and will provide more safe and affordable housing to those in need. In addition, with your ongoing support we will continue to provide the critical resources and Resident Services programs, putting residents at the center of our work - our North Star - to guide us.
On December 24, 2021 Mercy Housing celebrated its 40th anniversary. I could not be more excited to join Mercy Housing and the Mountain Plains team at such a critical and exciting time. With your support, I know we can make a difference in the lives of so many.
On behalf of us all, especially residents, thank you for your partnership.
Live in Hope,
President, Mercy Housing Mountain Plains
